In this Bandflex reviews you'll discover that the Bandflex Home Gym is intended as a much cheaper alternative to the famous Bowflex Home Gym and also to the Weider Crossbow. The Bandflex uses a system of 6 bungee cables (3 each side) to offer resistance while you are training, that is you stretch them as you lift. If you want more resistance you simply adjust it using a quick snap clip.
The maker's of Bandflex, Stamina, in their own Bandflex reviews claim the following:
Bandflex offers a maximum or 260lbs resistance compared to Bowflex's 210lbs
Bandflex has a total of 67 possible exercises compared to Bowflex's total of 60 possible exercises
Bandflex is about one third of the price of the Bowflex
Bandflex reviews also say that their gym is versatile enough to perform exercises for improving your fitness, not only your strength.
Equipment
multi-position adjustable bench

The maker's of Bandflex offer a 5 year warranty on the frame but only 90 days on parts
Pros
While writing this Bandflex reviews we decided that the Bandflex has a number of attractive pros:
cheap
light
quiet
it folds up (not many gyms fold)
offers a number of different exercises including fitness exercises
can perform a large number of exercises
Cons
This would be like all the other Bandflex reviews if we didn't include the cons:
the bands stretch, that is they gradually get longer. You can easily order new bands at about $5 each so we recommend if you do buy the Bandflex you order a complete set of replacement bands as well
there is a belt which goes behind your back for support when doing leg press, but we would prefer something more. However, you are lucky to even have a leg press because most home gyms only offer it as an optional extra
Overall
We decided that the Bandflex Home Gym offers a good alternative to the Bowflex and Weider Crossbow at a budget price (up to $1000 cheaper!). If you want something that you can easily move around or fold up and still do a decent workout, than you will be happy with the Bandflex Home Gym. Its also good if you don't want to annoy your neighbors with the clanging of iron weights.
Sellers
Prices from the Internet's leading sports merchants. Prices have gone up all round on the Bandflex recently. UPDATE: the Bandflex has come down in price and is now cheaper than when I first reviewed it
Megafitness - $250.00 + shipping (shipping is cheap because no weight stack makes it light weight)
