MEGA can offer this gym cheaply because it does not include a weight stack (you will need your own weight plates). - not really a problem but be aware that with these types of gyms it will take a bit longer to train because you have to load and unload your own plates. Also, buy yourself some kind of weight storage device. 1 because its safer. 2 because picking weights up off the floor is a pain. And 3 the weight stand is much tidier
- need to purchase your weight plates separately
Overall
If you are looking at something in this price range Home Gym Review recommend the MEGA Home Gym System above something like the similarly priced Total Gym 2000 (which Home Gym Review has also reviewed).
The Total Gym does have some advantages such as not needing extra weight, but if you really want to build muscle than your best to get a machine resembling a traditional gym, just like this one.
