Body Craft Xpress

home gym body craft xpress small jpeg pic without leg pressBody Craft is the manufacturer of some of the best home gym equipment available. I know we keep saying that (if you have read some of our other reviews of Body Craft home gym equipment) but its true. We aren't Body Craft promoters or dealers if you think we are shamelessly plugging them, we just know what we like.

The Xpress Home Gym is one of the best home gym machines available because of its superior space saving design. Like Body Craft's Galena, this gym will fit into the corner of the room. Even with the optional leg press (which we recommend) you can still fit the Xpress Home Gym into the corner.

On this model Body Craft have also included cable arms. An ingenious way of packing heaps of potential into a small area (another reason why its one of the best home gyms). Consumer Guide have recognized the Xpress Home Gym as one of the best home gyms available and awarded it their "Best Buy" badge of honor.

Equipment

  • chip and scratch proof, powder coated, heavy gauge, steel frame

  • industrial grade pulleys, bushes and bearings

  • 200lb weight stack with guard

  • lat pulldown bar, short bar, cable arm handles and ankle strap

  • cable arms for chest, shoulders, arms. Really only limited by your imagination with these, there are heaps of exercises you can do, plenty for each of these muscle groups

  • low row for back or shoulders or biceps (front of arm) or leg kicks (inner/outer thigh)

  • ab crunch for abs and hip flexors

  • leg extension for quadriceps (front of thigh) and leg curl for hamstrings (back of leg)

  • leg press for quadriceps (front of thigh) and hamstrings (back of thigh) or calves N.B. leg press design doubles effective load to 400lb maximum

Lifetime warranty on everything. If anything breaks during the life of this best of homegyms, Body Craft will repair or replace it...nice!

    Pros

  • the Xpress Home Gym is a lot of gym in a small space

  • the addition of the cables arms really opens up the possibilities. Your workout can be different every time. That's something you will come to appreciate once you have been training for a while

  • made from excellent quality materials

  • stack guards protect the user and dampen noise

  • hi and low pulleys

  • optional leg press

  • lifetime warranty
  • Cons

  • no pec dec. That was the trade off for the cable arms, personally I never use the pec dec because it hurts my shoulders but some people love it. So just be aware this machine doesn't have one.
  • Overall

This really is a great machine for which we applaud Body Craft. If you want a homegym that gives you heaps of exercise options in a small space and you are not desperate for a pec dec then check out this champion.

UPDATE: this model is now called the Xress Pro, a new version but basically the same
